Experience and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of post graduate experience. I earned my Bachelor's Degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and my Master's of Social Work (MSW) at University of Washington. Additionally, I hold a certificate in Clinical Theory and Practice from Wellspring Family Services.
I have trained in several different types of evidence based modalities. My therapeutic approach integrates these practices, allowing me to tailor treatment to meet the needs of each individual.
Walk and Talk therapy combines the benefits of traditional talk therapy with the healing power of movement and nature. It has been found to encourage emotional expression, reduce anxiety, ease symptoms of depression and improve overall mood.
The Flash technique is a recently developed evidenced-based therapeutic intervention for reducing the disturbance associated with traumatic or other distressing memories. Most clients report significant reduction in intensity within 15 to 20 minutes.
The goal is comprehensive healing using whatever combination of methods works best for you.
