Experience and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of post graduate experience. I earned my Bachelor's Degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and my Master's of Social Work (MSW) at University of Washington. Additionally, I hold a certificate in Clinical Theory and Practice from Wellspring Family Services.
Throughout my career I have had the privilege of supporting individuals through a wide range of challenges. In addition to my work as a therapist, I am also a clinical social worker in a primary care clinic. This role deepens my understanding of the connection between physical and mental health, helping me take a holistic approach to psychotherapy.
I have trained in several different types of evidence based modalities. My therapeutic approach integrates these practices, allowing me to tailor treatment to meet the unique needs of each individual.
One unique modality that I offer is Walk and Talk Therapy. It combines the benefits of traditional talk therapy with the healing power of movement and nature. It has been found to encourage emotional expression, reduce anxiety, ease symptoms of depression and improve overall mood.
Spending time in nature has a calming and grounding effect, promoting mental clarity and emotional balance. Whether you’re feeling stuck or are simply seeking a more dynamic therapeutic experience, Walk and Talk Therapy offers a refreshing and effective path forward.
